Creating displays or promotional materials as needed to advertise the collection and library events.
Maintaining the library collection by shelving, shelf reading, and processing materials.
Assisting patrons using library computers or personal devices to access the Internet, digital library resources, or computer programs.
Answering patron questions for information, directions, and reading recommendations.
Circulation tasks including using the Integrated Library System (ILS), checking materials in and out, assessing fines and fees for late or damaged items, placing holds, and updating patron records.
All part-time library staff are eligible for accrued sick time based on the requirements of the New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Law. Schedule is 20 hours per week, including nights and occasional weekends. This position helps maintain the library’s collections and assists patrons in finding materials and using the library’s technology offerings. The Franklin Township Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly team player who is comfortable using technology to join our team part-time.
